CONCEALED CARRY CLASS (ROANOKE)
Our "Firearm Safety For Concealed Carry” Course meets the requirements for the Virginia Concealed Carry Permit application. It briefly covers the state law, basic safety rules, gun choices, threat assessment and situational awareness. A certificate will be issued upon completion. This course is taught by NRA Certified Instructors.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this an in-person class or online class?
Virginia law now requires all Concealed Handgun Permit applicants to attend an in-person class. No online classes are valid in Virginia.
Do we need to bring a firearm to this class?
This is a classroom-only session. No firearms are needed or permitted in the classroom. Please do not bring firearms to the class!
What do I need to bring to the class?
You will need a valid form of ID for us to issue you a completion certificate
How many sessions are required?
This is a single-session class - you receive your completion certificate at the end of the class
Do I get my permit after taking the class?
After completion of the class, you will need to take your completion certificate and Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) to the circuit court in the municipality you reside in. There will be an application fee (up to $50 depending on location) payable to the court for processing.
